Sherwood Forest
Invalid date - Nottinghamshire, United KingdomOne of the things I love about the UK is the Forestry Commission. Across the country, they manage well over 250,000 hectares of land for the benefit of everyone. This weekend I visited Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire.
Although it is known for the legend of Robin Hood it, it was proclaimed a Royal Forest by William the Conqueror. Today it is much smaller than it once was, but it is still a wonderful place to visit for a walk - even if I didn't get to meet Robin Hood.
