Traeth Llanddwyn Beach

31 July 2025 - Eryri National Park, United Kingdom

This evening we went for a serene sunset stroll on Traeth Llanddwyn beach. This is on the west coast of Anglesea, North Wales. Because of the time we arrived (around 1900) it was deserted, however, apparently it gets quite busy in the daytime, so during the day it is better to go over the headland to Traeth Penrhos beach.

When we arrived, we started by having dinner on the beach. We heated water in a Jet Boils then rehydrated some Firepot meals. Although it was nice, they were not exactly Mitchlin Star dining! After this the sun had begun to set, so we went for a walk up the beach and then back through some of the forest.

From the beach you can look across and see the Eryri mountain range.

The only other people we saw on the beach!
